Girl, 11, dies after she’s struck by school bus driver in Brooklyn


An 11-year-old girl died after she was struck in Brooklyn by a school bus driver, who then sped off, on Thursday, cops said.

The girl was crossing 23rd Ave. at Bath Ave. in Bath Beach when she was hit by the school bus shortly after 3 p.m., cops said.

She was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition, where she died.

A police spokesman said officers made a traffic stop related to the fatal hit-and-run, but could not provide any additional details.
