A 6-year-old girl died Sunday following a go-kart accident at a Florida adventure park.
The incident occurred Saturday shortly before 9 p.m. at an Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park location in Port St. Lucie, the Port St. Lucie Police Department said.
The child was riding with an adult when their go-kart was struck by another go-kart, according to police.
A staff member was the first person to call 911.
The girl was airlifted to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce and died from her injuries on Sunday. Her identity was not released.
The department said the circumstances behind the accident remain under investigation. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has also been notified, “as required,” police said.
No other information was released.
The Urban Air location has been closed since the incident, according to reports.
