Grammys season has begun.
The official nominations for the 68th annual Grammy Awards — airing Feb. 1, 2026 — were announced on Friday morning.
Kendrick Lamar leads the nominees with 9 nods. He’s followed by Lady Gaga with 7, topping her previous record of 6 nominations in 2010.
Lamar was recognized for his latest album, “GNX,” which dropped last November. Gaga, meanwhile, impressed Grammys voters with her album “Mayhem,” which came out in March.
Newcomer Leon Thomas scored 6 nominations, including Best New Artist. The other 6-time nominated artists include Sabrina Carpenter, Serban Ghenea and Bad Bunny, who is performing at the Super Bowl one week after the Grammys.
Bad Bunny made history as the first Spanish-language artist to be nominated for Best Album, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year in one year.
Other stars recognized by the Recording Academy include Tyler, the Creator (5 nominations), Doechii (5 nominations), Justin Bieber (4 nominations), Bruno Mars (3 nominations), Miley Cyrus (1 nomination) and Selena Gomez (1 nomination).
Taylor Swift was not eligible to be nominated for a 2026 Grammy. Her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” was released in Oct. 2025, while the eligibility period for the upcoming award show was Aug. 2024 to Aug. 2025. Meaning, “The Life of a Showgirl” will be eligible at the 2027 Grammys.
The 2026 Grammy Awards will take place Feb. 1. at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. A host has yet to be announced.
