A 20-year-old man has been arrested for killing two men six days apart at the same street corner in the Bronx last summer, police said Tuesday.
Jailyn Wagner was busted at his East Harlem home on Monday and charged with murder, manslaughter and gun possession. He has no prior arrests.
The first victim, Idriss Cherif El Farissy, 28, was shot in the head last July 23 right outside his home on E. 176th St. near Mohegan Ave. near Crotona Park just before 3 a.m., cops said.
The gunman was seen rifling through El Farissy’s pockets before running off. The victim, a Moroccan immigrant and Papa John’s deliveryman who had just arrived home from work and was parking his car, died at the scene.
Then, at 7:50 p.m. on July 29, Roman Martinez, 39, was shot in the head multiple times by a gunman who fired into his RV camper where the victim was living after his recent divorce.

Police said witnesses plus video and photos later released to the media helped identify Wagner as the killer. It wasn’t immediately clear when investigators realized both victims were shot by the same gunman.
“By killing him, they killed the American dream,” El Farissy’s brother Moulay reportedly said at the time. “He was just coming home; he was the best guy. He did not deserve this. Justice needs to be served,” Moulay said.
Martinez was a hard-working building superintendent, Antonio Guad, the victim’s former father-in-law, said shortly after that murder.
“Everybody loved him in this area,” Gaud said. “He was a nice guy.”
