Halle Bailey obtains restraining order against ex-boyfriend DDG

“The Little Mermaid” star Halle Bailey was granted a temporary restraining order Tuesday against her ex-boyfriend, rapper and YouTuber DDG.

Bailey, 27, accused DDG of physically and verbally abusing her in several incidents since they split in October, TMZ reported. She also said the artist, whose legal name is Darryl Granberry, has used his fans to harass her.

“I am seeking orders to protect myself and our son Halo from his ongoing abuse,” Bailey wrote in court documents.

A Los Angeles County judge approved the temporary restraining order until a June 6 hearing in the case. DDG must stay at least 100 feet away from Bailey and 17-month-old Halo until then.

Bailey said DDG first physically attacked her in January at her Los Angeles home, when she was transferring custody of Halo, according to TMZ. In that incident, DDG began wrestling with Bailey, pulled her hair and slammed her head into the steering wheel of a car, Bailey said in court documents. She included a photo of her chipped front tooth in the filing.

Additionally, Bailey said DDG entered her house in March when she and Halo were not home, sending her a picture from the bedroom, People reported. A few days later, they were involved in another heated confrontation, which included DDG smashing Bailey’s doorbell camera after he realized it was recording, according to Bailey.

“Whenever he wishes to cause upset, he starts bad mouthing me to his several millions of fans,” Bailey said in her filing. “He claims I am withholding our son and that I am with other men. As a result, I then receive threats and hate on social media.”
