Hang glider arrested for launching off Verrazano Bridge, parachuting into Brooklyn park

A daredevil hang glided off the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and parachuted into a Brooklyn park — where he was quickly arrested for the stunt, police said Monday.

Jonathan Warren took flight from the bridge between Brooklyn and Staten Island about 5 p.m. Sunday using a hang glider that caught the attention of numerous 911 callers, police said.

Warren, 40, was charged with reckless endangerment after police caught up with him in Calvert Vaux Park in Coney Island, where he landed with a parachute. He was given a desk appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.

The suspect lives in Bedford-Stuyvesant, according to cops.
