Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly didn’t refuse to be photographed at Kris Jenner’s starry 70th birthday bash after all, but did request images of them be removed out of concern for optics.
The Sussexes’ presence at the momager’s 007-themed party — hosted on Saturday at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos’ mansion and attended by many A-listers — was previously immortalized in Instagram carousels posted by both the birthday girl herself and daughter Kim Kardashian.
Earlier this week, however, news circulated that the reality stars scrubbed any such photos from their social media accounts, though the images are still present on a Sussex fan account.
An insider close to the situation told TMZ that the “With Love, Meghan” host, 44, and 41-year-old Harry requested that Jenner and the SKIMS founder remove the photos given the party’s proximity to Remembrance Day, which celebrates U.K. veterans and this year intersected with America’s Veterans Day.
Contrary to People’s report, TMZ’s source said there were no consent forms pertaining to photography for the party. Therefore, neither the “Suits” alum nor Harry could have preemptively checked “no” on such a document. A source has also since told People that, “There were no consent forms” at all.
Reps for the Sussexes did not immediately respond to the Daily News’ request for comment.
People reported last week that Markle is gearing up for her first acting role since 2017 in Jason Orley’s “Close Personal Friends,” opposite Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid and Henry Golding.
She also announced on Monday that the holiday special of her Netflix show will hit the streamer on Dec. 3.
