It has been one battle after another when it comes to Leonardo DiCaprio’s dating life.
But the Oscar winner, 50, is still going strong with Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, 27, after two years together.
Despite typically dating women under the age of 25, DiCaprio broke his rule with his latest flame. Insiders are crediting this change to the “Inception” vet’s mom, Irmelin Indenbirken.
“Vittoria’s quite different to the other girls he’s been with,” a source told The Sun. “She was harder to impress, she’s very Italian and has high expectations.”
“Immediately she struck up a strong bond with his mother, plus she is very in demand — she’s the one with the full diary and jet-set life, not just following him around,” they added.
In March, Ceretti opened up about their romance while speaking with Vogue France.
“As soon as you’re in a relationship with someone who has a larger following than you, you become ‘girlfriend of’ — or ‘boyfriend of,’ for that matter,” the runway star told the outlet. “And that can be extremely annoying. Suddenly, people are talking about you as so-and-so’s girlfriend who was so-and-so’s ex. So it’s not nice to think that you can’t love whoever you want, because of the labels people need to stick on you.”
She also praised their strong bond and lack of jealousy in the relationship.
“It’s something you learn: if what you’re experiencing is real, if you know you love each other, then there’s no reason to be alarmed,” Ceretti detailed. “Because love protects and gives confidence.”
The pair first sparked dating rumors in 2023 after being spotted on a date in Los Angeles, in photos obtained by Page Six. Ceretti and DiCaprio spent the day walking around Santa Barbara, Calif., and enjoying ice cream.
Ceretti, meanwhile, was previously married to Italian DJ Matteo Milleri.
For his part, DiCaprio was previously tied to actress Camila Morrone, 28, from 2017 to 2022.
While the star has kept mum about his relationships, he did recently share one career confession.
“I’ll say it even though you’re here: My biggest regret is not doing ‘Boogie Nights,’” DiCaprio, told Paul Thomas Anderson, who directed the 1997 epic, during an Esquire interview in August.
“It was a profound movie of my generation,” he said before adding, “I can’t imagine anyone but Mark [Wahlberg] in it.”
DiCaprio told Anderson, 55, that he found “Boogie Nights” to be “a masterpiece” when he first saw it.
“It’s ironic that you’re the person asking that question,” he mused, “but it’s true.”
DiCaprio turned down the role of Eddie Adams/Dirk Diggler to play the one and only Jack in James Cameron’s “Titanic.”
Wahlberg, 54, took on the titular character in Anderson’s film about a young nightclub dishwasher who becomes a porn star.
The movie was nominated for three Oscars and featured Julianne Moore, Burt Reynolds, Don Cheadle, John C. Reilly, William H. Macy, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Heather Graham.
