Here’s how to watch pickleball comedy ‘The Dink’ for free



Pickleball and tennis go head-to-head in Apple TV’s new comedy.

“The Dink, a new Apple Original film, will be released tomorrow, July 24.

The new movie stars Jake Johnson as Dusty, an aging tennis pro and coach who has blindly followed his father’s (Ed Harris) vendetta against pickleball, which is taking over the country club he owns. After reaggravating an old injury, Dusty tries — and even enjoys — playing pickleball with a new partner (Mary Steenburgen)

“Torn between two worlds,” Apple TV’s synopsis reads, “Dusty is forced to finally face the ghosts of his past athletic failures, including his childhood nemesis, Andy Roddick. Ultimately, Dusty is drawn into a desperate battle for the future of the club, his father’s affection and his very identity.”

Roddick plays himself in “The Dink,” alongisde another tennis legend, John McEnroe, also playing himself.

“The Dink” premieres Friday, July 24, only on Apple TV.

Apple TV has not officially confirmed a release time for “The Dink,” but the streamer will often release new titles the night before their listed premiere date. In the case of “The Dink,” you’ll likely be able to stream the film as early as 9:00 p.m. ET on July 23.

How to watch ‘The Dink’ for free

“The Dink” is exclusive to Apple TV, so you’ll need a subscription to watch the movie.

Apple TV offers a seven-day free trial for users, so you’ll be able to watch “The Dink” (and a few more movies or shows) before the $12.99/month payments kick in.

Amazon Prime members can also subscribe to Apple TV directly through Prime Video. It costs the same monthly price and also includes a seven-day free trial, but allows you to stream Apple’s content inside the Prime Video app.
