Hilaria Baldwin is pulling back the curtain on her marriage.
After tying the knot in 2012, the mother-of-seven, 41, admitted to “rocky” moments in her and husband Alec Baldwin’s relationship in her upcoming memoir “Manual Not Included.”
Hilaria wrote, per The Sun, that the couple went through a hard period around the birth of their second child, son Rafael, in 2015.
The yoga teacher explained she and the actor — who have a 26-year age gap — “fought a lot” during her pregnancy.
Hilaria said Alec, 67, was traveling for work and she was stuck in New York City at home with their daughter Carmen, who was an infant at the time, and their dogs.
“It really pissed me off, and I didn’t hesitate to tell him so,” she wrote about Alec taking calls and replying to emails while she was in labor.
The “30 Rock” star also went right back to work after their son’s premature birth. Hilaria was “fuming” and felt “disrespected” by his decision at the time.
“That year was probably the rockiest for us, and not just in terms of juggling a baby and a toddler,” she penned. “I was so focused on how I thought things should be, and Alec was so set in his ways. Neither one of us would budge.”
Due to the strain on their marriage, Hilaria even “took my rings off as a sign that I was potentially ready to walk.”
The pair decided to stick it out and work on their marriage. They renewed their vows in 2017 and, in addition to Carmen, 11, and Rafael, 9, welcomed five more kids: Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo and Marilu, 4, and Ilaria, 2.
Alec is also dad to daughter Ireland, 29, with his ex-wife Kim Basinger.
The author and “Married to the Mob” actor have pulled back the curtain on their lives in their new TLC reality show “The Baldwins.” The eight episode series followed the family during their summer in the Hamptons amid Alec’s looming court case.
In 2021, on the set of the western “Rust” in New Mexico, Alec fired a prop gun that shot the film’s cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. He was charged with involuntary manslaughter and faced a maximum of 18 months behind bars for her death, but the case was thrown out in July 2024.
The outcome was captured on their show, with Hilaria telling People why she felt it was necessary to film their lives during that time.
“It was an opportunity for us to actually speak,” she said in February. “It was a really safe space. And I think it was also very cathartic, almost like a diary, during a very unsure time in our lives. That felt both terrifying and like it could get us through day by day.”
On the show, Hilaria and Alec also opened up further about their marriage, recalling the prenup she almost signed.
Alec was married to Basinger, 71, from 1993 to 2002. He admitted in his confessional, “After my first marriage, I said, ‘Let’s have a prenup.’ It’s an awkward thing,” to which Hilaria replied, “It is awkward.”
“But I don’t actually quite understand what a prenup is, because you’re like ‘after a certain number of kids, it’s this.’ I was like, ‘You know what, I’ll just sign it,’” she continued. “Which was probably stupid of me back then. Now, I’d read it again. But I just said I would sign it.”
Hilaria added, “I said I would. And then you’re like, ‘OK, we don’t have to.”
Hilaria’s memoir, “Manual Not Included,” is out May 6.
