Hilaria Baldwin is getting right to the pointe.
The “Manual Not Included” author opened up about her heartbreaking elimination last week from Season 34 of “Dancing with the Stars.”
“I did get bullied off the show,” Baldwin, 41, shared in an Instagram Live on Sunday, referencing the online backlash she received while competing on the ABC series over the past four weeks. “I did, that’s for sure. That is for sure.”
But the wellness influencer hasn’t backed down when it comes to standing up for what is right.
One day prior, on World Mental Health Day, Baldwin addressed the “very coordinated, strategic bullying” she received while on the competition show.
“I would be remiss if I didn’t address the elephant in the room,” the yoga instructor said in her Saturday Instagram video, “which is that there was some bullying going on aimed at me over the past few weeks.”
“One of the most common things that people say to me when they meet me, when they actually meet me, is how surprised they are by negativity that I receive,” Baldwin continued, “because in reality, I am none of the negative things that some people say and that breaks my heart.”
The New Yorker called out the “campaigns of hate” that she’s witnessed while being in the public eye.
“They take lives and they demolish mental health, and it’s tragic how rampant this behavior is, and countless suffer daily,” elaborated Baldwin. “Some of the people who have harassed me for years and misrepresented and outright have lied about me, I know that they’ll only be satisfied when I’m gone. It seems that nothing I can say or do will be right in their eyes.”
But the mom of seven isn’t letting the online haters take away from the incredible experience she had.
“I’m so grateful for this experience that I had on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’” Baldwin gushed. “I never thought I would dance again, and I have all of you to thank for writing into the show and making this wild experience happen.”
“I’m so blessed that I got to share this with my family,” noted the TLC star. “I loved everybody I met there, and I’m really excited to cheer on my cast mates.”
Throughout the competition, Baldwin had support from her husband Alec Baldwin as well as their children Carmen, 12, Rafael, 10, Leonardo, 9, Romeo, 7, Eduardo, 5, María, 4, and Ilaria, 2.
“He’s so supportive of this whole thing,” the dancer said of the actor, 67, while talking to The Post.
Baldwin also touched on public’s unfair assessment of her.
“So many times somebody [has] said as we got off [the stage], like, ‘Don’t worry a little bit longer and people will be able to see you.’ And you know, I’ve heard that in so many things. And I feel like the past 15 years I’ve been tap dancing in all different ways and all different rhythms and just being like, ‘Do you see me yet? Do you see me yet? Do you see me yet?’”
Fortunately for Hilaria, the kind sentiments don’t go unnoticed.
“I never want to not be grateful for the world that I’m in because I am so blessed,” she said. “And I live my life with gratitude every single day. But there are really hard moments where I feel misunderstood and I feel taken out of context and the people misconstrue things or completely make stuff up and that’s it is very painful just as a human.”
“But I think one of the things I love so much about ‘Dancing With the Stars’ is it is something that I love so much. I hope people can just see that I want to entertain people and bring joy. And it’s coming from a place of me being entertained and being joyful too.”
The mom of 7 also cleared the air on rumors she made her viral TikTok dance videos in order to get cast.
“The true story is, I am new to TikTok. I’ve only been on it for a handful of months, so I was trying to understand it. I was like, ‘Okay, TikTok dances, I’m trying.’ I, of course, made Alec do it with me, as most wives do,” she detailed. “And then, like a few days before, they call me and they’re like, ‘Do you want to do this?’”
“I was like, it’s crazy because I have to move seven kids here. I never thought about doing this show in my life,” stressed Baldwin. “And I got everybody on a plane and we came out here and this is what we’re doing.”
