It’s been a long time coming.
Just over one year after wrapping up her 149-show Eras Tour, Taylor Swift is teaming up with Disney+ to release a six-part documentary series taking fans behind the scenes of the record-breaking tour.
Over the next three weeks, Swifties will get “an intimate look at Taylor’s life as her tour made headlines and thrilled fans around the world,” per the official description. The docuseries is set to feature Swift’s family, including fiancé Travis Kelce, and friends, including tour openers Gracie Abrams and Sabrina Carpenter, and special guest performers Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch.
Timed to the doc’s release, Swift will also drop “The Eras Tour: The Final Show,” a full-length concert filmed in Vancouver, Canada, during the final stop of the tour that showcases the entire Eras Tour set, including “The Tortured Poets Department” act.
The first “Eras Tour” concert film, released in theaters in October 2023, did not include any of the songs from the “TTPD” era, since the album dropped mid-tour and was added to the setlist following its release.
“It was the End of an Era, and we knew it,” Swift wrote in an Instagram post announcing the projects. “We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.”
