Nick Hogan was in attendance at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena Monday night when WWE honoroed his father — professional wrestling icon Hulk Hogan — with a 10-bell salute.
TMZ reported before Monday’s event that Hogan was in Michigan, but couldn’t confirm he’d participate in any promotions tied to the festivities when they began at 8 p.m.
“The Hulkster” died Thursday from what appeared to be cardiac arrest. The 71-year-old grappler is largely considered the most famous personality WWE ever produced.
Reports of Nick Hogan’s visit Monday had wrestling fans buzzing that a tribute to his dad would be part of the show.
The 35-year-old scion, who appeared on his family’s reality TV program “Hogan Knows Best,” wrote an emotional tribute to his “hero” on Instagram Sunday. There was no mention of a Monday night farewell party in the Motor City.
Netflix’s Monday’s action-packed night was to include an eight-woman tag team match, a brawl between headliners Jey Uso vs Bronson Reed and an appearance World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, who’s participating in this weekend’s SuperSlam at MetLife Stadium.
