People born between 1981 and 1996 claim that more than the year they were born helps them identify within that age group.
Millennials insist that having a beauty mark on their left forearm confirms that they’re part of the generation.
Kelly Rowland, the former Destiny’s Child songstress, sent the internet into a tizzy when she mentioned her telling spot in a video posted on her Instagram story.
In it, Rowland asked, “Has anyone heard of this millennial mole?” and then zoomed into a spot on her left forearm, revealing a tiny, black spot.
She dubbed her very own “millennial MOLE.”
“I have one!” she exclaimed. “Look, it’s right there!”
“It’s on your left forearm. Any millennials, do you have the millennial mole?”
And plenty of others believe that they do.
“Kelly Rowland is right about the Millennial mole on the left forearm. That’s right where mine is. Lol,” someone who goes by Lord Terisa wrote on X.
A TikTokker who goes by Intuitive Mama asked: “Why do we all have the Millennial mole?”
She noted that she was born in 1981 and has a mole on her left forearm. — as did many others.
“‘I just saw something on the internet, and it has me shook,” Ally Sanders said in a recent TikTok video.
“It’s true for me and it’s also true for my husband … apparently, if you’re a millennial, you have something called a millennial mole.”
She then pulled up her sleeve to show off her mark.
“I don’t know if we were all stamped when we were all little babies in heaven before we were dropped in our mommy’s tummies …
“But please check your arm to see if you have a millennial mole.”
The beauty mark is just the latest identifier of the generation, but recession tips and mustaches also seemingly point them out.
