Jamie Lee Curtis’ home ‘possibly’ affected from Palisades fire

Jamie Lee Curtis is unsure if her house is still standing as the Pacific Palisades wildfire continues to spread.

“My community and possibly my home is on fire,” the actress, 66, wrote on Instagram Wednesday. “My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well.”

Curtis, who lives in Los Angeles with husband Christopher Guest, told her followers that “there are so many conflicting reports” about the fires destroying Southern California.

“With all the technology there seems to be very little information. PLEASE POST FACTS! IT WILL HELP THOSE WONDERING!” she said. “It is a terrifying situation and I’m grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze. Neighbors have taken care of neighbors.”

The “Knives Out” actress went on, “We ALL take everything for granted because we are all living our lives but when it hits your community, it’s particularly shocking. Life on life’s terms. If ever there was need for the use of the phrase MY HAND IN YOURS, it is right now.”

“Take care of each other,” Curtis told her followers. “Stay out of the way and let the firefighters do their work. Pray if you believe in it and even if you don’t, pray for those who do.”

Curtis is one of tens of thousands of people who have been forced to flee their homes in Pacific Palisades and neighboring areas.

The three fires – Palisades, Eaton and Hurst – have combined to take over 4,000 acres of land throughout Los Angeles County with zero containment as of Wednesday morning.

The fires are being fueled by strong winds, with gusts up to 60 mph, “dry fuels” and low humidity, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said.

Other celebrities who have evacuated their Southern California houses include Mark Hamill, Mandy Moore, Eugene Levy and James Woods.

Hamill, 73, said on Instagram that he left Malibu while there were “small fires on both sides of the road” as he approached the Pacific Coast Highway.

The “Star Wars” actor and his wife and dog safely made it to his daughter Chelsea’s house in Hollywood, he confirmed.

Reality TV stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lost their Pacific Palisades home in the massive blaze, according to TMZ, just hours after Pratt shared a video of a plane dropping water on the nearby flames on Instagram.

Pratt later posted a clip of the couple’s home being engulfed in flames. “Nightmare came true,” he wrote.
