Jessica Alba is reportedly moving forward in her breakup with Cash Warren.
The “Honey” actress, 43, has retained a divorce attorney after allegedly separating from her husband of 16 years, sources told People on Wednesday.
Earlier this month, TMZ reported that Alba and Warren, 45, had split and were moving forward with divorce.
The Post reached out to Alba’s rep for comment.
Following the news, an insider shared the pair are still “friends and all about the kids.”
“No matter what’s going on right now, it seems they will remain close,” the source told People. “If they’re filing for divorce, it’s not because of some hateful drama. They still look happy together. Jess has mentioned over the years though that it’s hard to keep the spark.”
Alba married the film producer in 2008 after meeting four years earlier on the Vancouver set of the superhero movie “Fantastic Four.”
The pair have not confirmed their separation; however, there were signs that there was trouble in paradise.
The “Good Luck Chuck” actress was spotted without her wedding ring, most recently, at a pre-Golden Globes party at the famed Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.
Alba wasn’t just ringless. The star attended the event without her husband.
She also rocked a bare ring finger during a dinner in Rome with film producer Andrea Iervolino in December — and she’s not the only one.
Warren was also seen this month without his ring while out and about in Los Angeles.
The two also haven’t been photographed in public together since November when they sat courtside for a Lakers game at Crypto.com Arena.
Alba also shared a cryptic post on New Year’s Eve, saying her 2024 was “filled with connection, growth, adventures, laughter, peace, sisterhood, transformation, rebirth, joy and so much love.” While her post included several shots of herself and her friends, she did not include any of her significant other.
However, the “Trigger Warning” actress did include Warren in an Instagram post just days before their alleged separation was made public.
Alba and Warren took their kids to Universal Studios to celebrate their youngest child, son Hayes’ seventh birthday.
“The best day at #UniversalStudios celebrating our 7️⃣ year old, Hayes! 🎂🎊🎟️🎢🥳 Thank you for having us, @unistudios,” she captioned the birthday photos.
Alba and Warren married on May 19, 2008, and have three children: Hayes and daughters Honor, 16, and Haven, 13.
Months before their alleged separation, Alba detailed the ups and downs of their relationship.
“It’s all rosy for 2.5 years, but then after that, you become roommates,” Alba said. “And it’s just, like, you’re roommates. You’re just going through the motions. It’s the responsibility. It’s a lot of, like, checking the boxes.”
In May, the “Sin City” actress commemorated their wedding anniversary on Instagram.
“16 years of marriage, 20 years together and forever to go,” Alba wrote as the caption. “I’m proud of us for making it this far. There is no real set of rules or guidance that can ever prepare you for what it means to commit to another person and choose to be family.”
She concluded, “Through thick and thin we have continually found our way back to each other and have chosen one another. Cheers to us, I love you.”
