JetBlue pilot arrested on plane in Boston before Paris flight

A JetBlue pilot was arrested Thursday night at Boston Logan International Airport just as he was preparing to fly to Paris, authorities said.

Jeremy Gudorf, 33, of Ohio, was arrested by Massachusetts State Police shortly after 8:30 p.m. on charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

State troopers were responding to a request from U.S. Customs and Border Protection following an extensive investigation by the Huntersville Police Department in North Carolina.

The probe began in October 2024 after HPD investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Based on the evidence gathered, police then secured a warrant for his arrest.

At the time of his alleged crime, Gudorf lived in Huntersville, the HPD said Friday in a news release. However, he moved out of state during the investigation.

He was arrested onboard his plane Thursday night and arraigned Friday morning in East Boston District Court on a charge of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor for service, reported local station WCVB.

Gudorf has been placed “on indefinite leave,” a JetBlue spokesperson confirmed to the Daily News on Friday, without mentioning the pilot’s name.

“We are aware of and closely reviewing the arrest of one of our pilots upon reporting for work at Boston’s Logan Airport Thursday evening due to an outstanding warrant,” the spokesperson said.

Gudorf was ordered held on $10,000 bail under the condition that he report to North Carolina by early next week, Boston 25 News reported.
