Jets to play Denver Broncos in London Games on Oct. 12

London is calling Gang Green again this season.

The Jets will face the Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 12, the home of the Premier League club. The game will kick off at 9:30 p.m. ET and be shown on NFL Network as part of the 2025 NFL London Games, the league announced Tuesday.

This will mark the Jets’ third international game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the last five seasons. The Jets lost to the Falcons in 2021 and the Vikings last October. Two days following last year’s game against the Vikings, Jets owner Woody Johnson sent the season into a tailspin when he fired coach Robert Saleh after five games.

The Jets finished with a 5-12 record last season.

In January, Johnson hired a new head coach, Aaron Glenn, and general manager Darren Mougey, who replaced Joe Douglas after he was fired last November. Mougey spent the previous 12 seasons in the Broncos organization. He began as a scouting intern in 2012. Mougey was also Denver’s personnel and scouting assistant (2013), a college and pro personnel scout (2014), an area scout (2015-19), the assistant director of college scouting (2020) and the director of player personnel (2021) before he became the team’s assistant general manager in 2022.

In addition to Glenn and Mougey, the Jets will have a new quarterback in London this upcoming season. In March, the Jets signed Justin Fields to a two-year, $40 million contract, including $30 million guaranteed, after Aaron Rodgers was released after two seasons.

Two years ago, after Rodgers was traded to the Jets, Broncos coach Sean Payton criticized the team for “trying to win the offseason.” Payton also called Nathaniel Hackett (Jets offensive coordinator from 2023-24) and his staff’s job with the 2022 Broncos “one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL.”

Glenn and Payton have a history with one another. In 2015, Payton hired Glenn as his defensive backs coach with the Saints, a position he kept until 2021 before Glenn became the Lions’ defensive coordinator.

While the Jets are coming off a disappointing 2024 season, the Broncos made the playoffs for the first time since they won Super Bowl 50 in 2015. Denver finished with a 10-7 record and was the seventh seed in the AFC before losing to Buffalo in the wild-card game.

The 2025 season will mark the sixth consecutive season the Jets and Broncos have played each other, which is unusual for non-division opponents. Denver defeated Gang Green 10-9 last season in a rainy, sloppy affair at MetLife Stadium.

This season, the NFL will have a record seven international games. In addition to the Jets-Broncos, the Vikings and Broncos will also play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a week earlier on Oct. 5. The league will also play games at Wembley Stadium (also in London), in Brazil, Ireland, Spain, and Berlin.

The entire 2025 NFL schedule will be released on Wednesday, May 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
