Justin Baldoni claims Blake Lively improvised kiss in ‘It Ends with Us’ scene

It doesn’t end with them.

Justin Baldoni has claimed in a fresh legal filing that Blake Lively went rogue on the set of “It Ends with Us” and improvised a kiss that wasn’t in the script.

The clip in question shows Lively, 38, and Baldoni, 41, sharing a quick smooch during a scene that Baldoni’s team claims she added herself, according to the new legal filing submitted by Baldoni’s Wayfarer production company on Nov. 13.

Baldoni’s attorneys wrote that the “Gossip Girl” star “added [the scene] to the script, in which her character kissed Baldoni’s character in every take, although there was no kiss in the script,” per People.

The footage, which was said to be filmed in May 2023 and lasts just over a minute, shows Lively’s character Lily Bloom stumbling upon Baldoni’s neurosurgeon character Ryle Kincaid as he works.

Lily apologizes for the interruption and plants a brief kiss on his lips. But on her way out, she casually tells him that she “happen[s] to love him too.”

The Post has reached out to Lively’s rep for comment.

Baldoni’s latest filing comes amid an already messy legal battle between the former co-stars.

Lively first sued Baldoni in December 2024 and accused the director of sexual harassment and retaliation.

Baldoni denied the allegations and countersued the actress and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in January for $400 million. That lawsuit, however, was later dismissed by a judge.

Lively, in her original complaint, claimed that Baldoni staged “improvised physical intimacy that had not been rehearsed, choreographed or discussed with Ms. Lively.”

After a January 2024 meeting with Reynolds and producers, Wayfarer agreed to bring in an intimacy coordinator, promising that there would be “no more improvising of kissing,” according to Lively’s filing.

But Baldoni’s team previously said that only scripted kissing scenes were filmed before the Hollywood strikes, and that this newly flagged unscripted kiss was filmed before the strikes began on May 13, 2023.

“Lively also complains that there was inappropriate and improvised kissing during the first period of filming, before the strike break,” Baldoni’s dismissed complaint read, according to People.

“But in fact, the only two kissing scenes filmed during the initial filming period were both scenes that included kisses as written in the script,” it continued, per the outlet. “These kissing scenes were not improvised.”

The legal drama, meanwhile, also extended beyond the movie set. Alleged texts between Baldoni and author Colleen Hoover, who wrote the original “It Ends with Us” novel, surfaced on Wednesday.

Hoover allegedly said she “felt forced to choose” between Lively and Baldoni during the pair’s feud, and later admitted that she was “disappointed” in Baldoni, per the 2024 messages.

Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni is currently scheduled to go to trial in March 2026.
