Justin Bieber speaks out after he unfollows wife Hailey on Instagram amid split rumors

Hailey Bieber will forever be one less lonely girl.

Justin Bieber may have unfollowed his wife Hailey Bieber on Instagram, but the musician is now claiming that his social media platform was hacked.

“Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife,” he posted on his Instagram Story, which he has since deleted. “S–t is getting suss out here.”

Along with hitting the unfollow button on the 28-year-old, someone also unfollowed his former mentor Usher, Scooter Braun and Hailey’s dad Stephen Baldwin from his account.

Social media users took to X to share their shock, with one person writing, “DID THEY SEPARATE,” while another asked, “But why Justin Bieber has unfollowed Hailey Bieber on Instagram??”

A third fan teased online: “Nobody safe LMFAOOO.”

But other sleuths thought it was simply a mistake, with one person writing, “She still follows him sooo hopefully it was a mistake by Justin.”

Rounding out the support, a fan said, “They’re literally i’m aspen together rn.”

The pair is currently in Aspen, Colo, with Bieber sharing Instagram pictures of himself as Hailey struck a pose and stuck out her tongue next to him for the camera.

But despite their trip, the couple — who tied the knot in 2018 — has been plagued by divorce rumors in recent months.

As the Grammy winner and model rang in 2025, he put speculation to rest, sharing a photo of his wife in a pink bikini with a fur coat.

“Goin anywhere with u bb,” he captioned his Instagram Story at the time. “Happy new year.”

Days earlier, Hailey offered up what appeared to be her own response to breakup rumors.

The skincare influencer reposted a TikTok video by creator Bernard Joseph Velasquez on her Instagram Stories, writing that the message was “me to all of you on the internet.”

“You’re not well and it’s OK. You’ve done made a lot of choices,” Velasquez said in the original video. “The choices that you made done put you in situations that you hate. You don’t want to be in those situations. You recognize every day when you wake up, ‘F–k, this is the reality that I made for myself.’”

Meanwhile, Bieber and Hailey welcomed their son Jack in August and have largely kept him out of the spotlight. But the new mom previously admitted the constant criticism of her relationship does weigh on her.

“I used to try to act like it hurts less and less,” she explained to W Magazine in July. “I’ve tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what’s going to be said and this is how people are going to be. But I realize that it doesn’t actually ever hurt any less.”

Hailey added, “It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy.”
