Kanye West, Kim Kardashian fight over song with Diddy, North West

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are feuding over the rapper’s new song that seemingly features their daughter North West, 11 and Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Ye, 47, shared the new track, titled “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” on X (formerly Twitter) Saturday, followed by screenshots of his alleged text message exchange with Kardashian, 44, where they fought over their oldest child’s involvement in the song.

In the alleged texts, Kardashian told West that she trademarked North’s name in an attempt to stop the song from being released, according to TMZ.

“I’m never speaking to you again,” West told his ex-wife.

Per TMZ, Kardashian replied, “I asked you at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When she’s 18, it goes to her. So stop. I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her. One person has to trademark! We agreed when they were born I would get all of our kids names and trademarks. So one else would take them.”

“Amend it or I’m going to war,” West responded. “And neither of us will recover from the public fallout.”

The rapper added, “You’re going to have to kill me.”

Sources told TMZ that Kardashian sent legal letters demanding a cease and desist over West’s new song with their daughter. An emergency hearing with a mediator and a judge was reportedly held, and while West allegedly didn’t join, he promised not to release the song.

The insiders added that Kardashian doesn’t want North linked to West’s recent controversial behavior or Combs’ legal issues.

The Post has reached out to reps for West, Kardashian and Combs, 55, for comment.

In West’s new song, Combs is credited as Puff Daddy. The music mogul’s son Christian “King” Combs, 26, and musician Jasmine Williams, whom West said is a Yeezy artist from Chicago, are also featured on the track.

“Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine” appears to begin with a voice recording of West and Combs talking on the phone.

“I wanna just thank you so much for just taking care of my kids, man,” Combs, who is in jail and awaiting trial for his criminal sex-trafficking case, seemingly says. “Ain’t nobody reach out to them, ain’t nobody call them.”

“Absolutely, I love you so much man,” West seemingly replies. “You raised me. Even when I ain’t know you, know what I’m saying?”

North appears on the song and raps, “When you see me shining, then you see the light.”

West previously advocated for Combs’ release from prison on social media last month.

“FREE PUFF,” West wrote on X.

“ALL THESE CELEBRITY N—-S AND BITCHES IS P—Y YALL A WATCH OUR BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY S–T,” he added.

West has been facing backlash for going on a dayslong antisemitic rant on social media and selling swastika T-shirts last month. That followed his and his wife Bianca Censori’s appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards, where the Australian model, 30, posed nude on the red carpet.

Kardashian, who shares four kids with West, has not spoken out publicly about her ex-husband’s controversial behavior.
