Kim Kardashian is responding to the backlash over 12-year-old daughter North West’s fake piercings, grills and face tattoos.
The tween’s mock body modifications made the rounds last weekend on the mother and daughter’s shared TikTok account, quickly drawing criticism from viewers who slammed Kardashian’s parenting skills.
“Should’ve listened to Kanye, Kim can’t raise kids at all,” one wrote, while another said North is “turning into exactly what Kanye didn’t want.”

Some took jabs at both of them as parents.
“Wow Kim Kardashian, who got famous for a sex tape and Kanye West who is putting [Nazi] symbols on his clothes, aren’t model parents raising a perfectly normal kid wow shocking,” a third comment read.
While Kardashian turned off the comments on her own videos, she took to a clip shared by Australia’s Daily Mail to hit back at the haters.
“This is such a non-issue,” the 45-year-old reality star wrote on the post earlier this week, and many seemed to agree. Hundreds of fans left comments defending North for being a normal 12-year-old girl, just having fun and playing dress-up.
Kardashian — who announced earlier this year that she would start managing North’s career, following in the footsteps of her own “momager” Kris Jenner — recently spoke about North’s fashion choices during an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.
“She’s really mature in one sense where she’ll be like … ‘I don’t really care that they don’t like… my blue hair or this or that,” Kardashian said, calling her daughter “confident” for experimenting with fashion and beauty, regardless of others’ opinions.
North is the eldest of the four children the SKIMS founder shares with ex-husband West, now legally known as Ye. Together, the former couple — who settled their divorce in late 2022 — also share Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5.
