Kelly Osbourne slams WWE’s Becky Lynch for Ozzy comments

Kelly Osbourne slammed wrestling star Becky Lynch for making an off-color remark about her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, and his hometown of Birmingham, England, weeks after the Black Sabbath frontman died on July 22.

During Monday night’s live broadcast of WWE’s “RAW,” the 38-year-old Irish fighter said she wouldn’t be competing in a wrestling match in Birmingham, to which fellow wrestler Nikki Bella had challenged her.

“You can have your match but in Paris [at ‘The Clash in Paris’]. Because I am not wrestling in Birmingham. The only good thing that came out of here died a month ago,” Lynch said while exchanging fighting words with Bella.

As the crowd booed her, Lynch added: “But in fairness to Ozzy Osbourne, he had the good sense to move to L.A., a proper city. Because if I lived in Birmingham, I’d die too.”

Kelly Osbourne didn’t take lightly to the quip and took to social media to rip the current WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

“You are a disrespectful dirtbag!” the “Shut Up” singer posted to her Instagram Story on Tuesday morning. “Shame on the WWE for allowing such things to be said about my father and his home!!!”

On July 30, thousands of fans of The Prince of Darkness gathered in the streets of Birmingham ahead of his funeral procession led by his widow Sharon Osbourne and their kids.

Ozzy, who passed away at age 76 after years of health battles including with Parkinson’s disease, had performed in the city just weeks earlier at his farewell show, which also served as a Black Sabbath reunion.

Kelly, 40, and her baby’s father, Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson, got engaged backstage after the 10-hour concert featuring performances from Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Steven Tyler and Jack Black, among others.
