‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ star on Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro co-stars

Cara Jade Myers is looking back at the her time on “Killers of the Flower Moon.”

The actress, 39, starred in one of the most critically acclaimed films of 2023 alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.

Since the Martin Scorsese-directed western/thriller was shot during the COVID-19 pandemic, there wasn’t much face to face action with the A-listers.

“I wish I could have [picked their brains]. I tried to, but we were filming during COVID,” Myers told The Post at the red carpet premiere for her new Western “Day of Reckoning.”

“If you weren’t in the scene filming, they were like, ‘Get out of here!’” she teased. “But no, it was super amazing working with, like you said, Leo, Bob, Marty. They are absolute legends and just having the privilege of being on set with them was absolutely amazing and I’m eternally grateful.”

“[I] also didn’t want to act like I’m too unprofessional here. I’ve got to know what I’m doing. I’ve got to play it cool!”

“Killers of the Flower Moon” was nominated for 10 Oscars that year, and was based on the 2017 nonfiction book of the same name by David Grann.

The film followed the investigation into the murders of dozens of Osage people in 1920s Oklahoma. The feature also starred Lily Gladstone, Brendan Fraser and Jesse Plemons.

“It’s a completely forgotten part of American history,” DiCaprio, 50, told British Vogue in 2023. “And an open wound that still festers.”

These days, Myers is the leading lady in the Shaun Silva-directed action movie “Day of Reckoning.”

“A struggling sheriff (Zach Roerig) teams up with a tough US Marshal (Billy Zane) to detain a cunning female outlaw (Myers). As tensions rise within their posse, they must face an approaching gang led by the prisoner’s violent husband,” per IMDb.

As Myers puts it, she “definitely has been” a fan of this genre.

“Especially when there’s badass women in it and I get to play them, and I get to beat up guys,” she gushed, “and control the situation. That’s pretty awesome.”

Myers is also set to star in the upcoming American thriller “Ice Fall.”

“We filmed it last year in Bulgaria,” she told the Post. “I’m so excited because it’s an action movie with Joel Kinnaman and we’re running from bad guys. It’s going to be a lot of fun and it was cold for one day and then it was dying hot the rest in a movie called ‘Ice Fall!’”

Despite lead roles in serious projects, there’s one genre Myers would love to get into: comedy.

“I love comedy and I love being a goofball so I’m hoping that is next,” she admitted.

Myers’ “Day of Reckoning” costar Billy Zane recently portrayed Marlon Brando in “Waltzing With Brando,” which led the young star to reflect on a person she would love to take on.

“Honestly, I would love to do some native woman that is obscure that is such an important part of history. That would be fun to do that and bring her to life.”
