Gaga is in the building.
Actor Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, who plays Deputy Sheriff Ritchie Santiago in “Wednesday,” revealed how the cast and crew reacted to Lady Gaga, 39, being on set for her Season 2 role.
“Gaga was like a spectre through the night,” Lewis-Nyawo exclusively told The Post. “Like you could feel the after-effect of her having been on set because everybody was still abuzz with that energy.”
But unfortunately for Lewis-Nyawo, they didn’t get to meet the “Born This Way” singer.
“I didn’t necessarily cross paths with her at all. I wasn’t shooting during that period,” they explained. “But I know that the production had to take a lot of security measures to make sure that she was safe, because with Gaga, that just comes with so many fans.”
“It was really, really exciting,” Lewis-Nyawo added, “but unfortunately I didn’t get to hang out with her.”
Despite missing Gaga’s visit, Lewis-Nyawo did hear some “chatter” about the pop star’s time on the set, though the talk was limited for legal reasons.
“I think that [because of] everybody’s NDAs, we just keep it all tidy and tidy,” they shared. “As any kind of artist, regardless of where you are in your career and how much fame you might have or how much reach you might have, it’s important to just keep that space a working space and allow people to just be able to show up as themselves and do the job that they need to do. So we take that out of the space.”
“But, I mean, she was wonderful,” Lewis-Nyawo said about Gaga. “I think everyone was just like, she was so nice, she was so professional, she’s a consummate artist. I’m just so excited for everybody to see what she brings to the Nevermore and Jericho universe.”
Gaga will appear in the second half of “Wednesday” Season 2 as Rosaline Rotwood, a mysterious Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams.
The Grammy Award winner is also debuting her new song, “The Dead Dance,” in the show.
“I haven’t heard the song,” Lewis-Nyawo told The Post. “That’s how hush hush it is.”
“I’m going to be as excited as everybody else hearing it,” the actor added.
Ahead of the final four episodes of Season 2 dropping Wednesday, Lewis-Nyawo warned that fans should “buckle up” for an exhilarating finish.
“Wednesday has found herself in a situation that she hasn’t in the previous season. She is experiencing the sparkling consequences of her own actions,” Lewis-Nyawo said. “She’s been [thrown] out of a window, and now we have to see how she navigates the rest of that, and how she can bring together all of these threads that the show has sort of set up. But also, how she can save her friend through this.”
“I think the second part is bigger, is more exciting, but also full of so much emotional depth,” Lewis-Nyawo teased. “We’re really gonna pay off a lot of what we set up in the first. And I think that’s really, really beautiful.”
“Wednesday” Season 2 concludes Sept. 3 on Netflix.
