Laura Loomer rages at Elon Musk over alleged censorship on X

Laura Loomer joined the ranks of MAGA 1.0 surrogates expressing anger over the growing influence of Donald Trump’s self-proclaimed “First Buddy” Elon Musk.

The 31-year-old far-right conspiracy theorist, whose greatest hits include the claim that “9/11 was an inside job,” pinned a screed to the top of her X account alleging her posts are being suppressed on the platform.

“I worked my a– off to help President Trump get elected and now I am being retaliated against, censored, and deliberately financially attacked as an independent journalist,” Loomer raged this week after receiving a message from a follower claiming her posts weren’t popping up on his timeline.

She told her 1.4 million followers that Musk is trying to “rob” her — “a hard working journalist who has been more loyal to Donald Trump than ANYONE” — of revenue from people who subscribe to her work.

“This egregious retaliatory censorship needs to end,” Loomer insisted, calling the alleged shadowbanning “unethical and un-American.”

When Loomer and others first complained in December that Musk was suppressing their posts, the X owner said that accounts blocked or muted by “more credible, verified subscriber accounts” will see a decline in the number of people they reach.

Musk soon after agreed with another user who translated his explanation to mean, “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”

It’s unclear if Musk was singling out Loomer. X has not returned a request for comment.

Former White House advisor Steve Bannon has also taken issue with Musk, who Trump tapped to co-lead a new Department of Government Efficiency. Bannon told an Italian newspaper he’d have Musk “run out” of the White House over his support for H-1B visas that would help immigrants enter the U.S. for tech jobs Musk has indicated Americans aren’t smart enough to do.

Right-wing influencer Nick Fuentes also supported Trump in his runs for the presidency, but worried he would align himself with globally focused figures like Musk.

Musk referred to MAGA’s anti-immigrant hardliners December as “contemptible fools [who] must be removed from the Republican Party, root and stem” in December.
