LI teacher pulled from classroom after trashing Trump, supporters

A Long Island teacher has been pulled from the classroom after reportedly posting an online rant in which she wished President Trump’s supporters would choke.

Pamila Pahuja, a science teacher at RC Murphy Jr. High School in Stony Brook, allegedly posted the sharply worded missive aimed at the president and his backers on Facebook, according to NBC 15 News.

“To all Trump supporters — hope the next time you take a drink it doesn’t swallow right and you go get help but no one is there and you slowly wither away while struggling to gasp and you suffer long,” she wrote.

“That’s what you want for people you deem not worthy right? Don’t worry, I’ll pray for it to last longer.”

She also said Trump’s initial Chicago immigration raids — led by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement —were a harbinger of worse things to come.

“Supposedly Trump ICE raids start in Chicago on Tuesday,” the post read. “Only a matter of time before they come for all women.”

In a letter to parents, the Three Village Central School District said it had placed Pahuja on leave following the remarks.

“This letter is to inform you that Ms. Pahuja will be out of school until further notice,” the letter read, according to News 12 Long Island.

Her pointed rant left some parents saying she’d gone too far.

“Please be assured that we have taken steps to ensure a smooth transition and continued high-quality instruction in science.”

Some parents slammed the post for going too far.

“In general, teachers should be on the safer side about not posting on social media,” Anthony Petrillo of Setauket told News 12. “I think they should keep politics out of the classroom.”
