Lil Nas X charged with 4 felonies, assaulting cops with injury

Rapper Lil Nas X has been charged with four felonies, including battery with injury on a police officer, in connection with last week’s hospitalization and arrest last Thursday.

The Grammy winner, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, was recorded acting erratically last week, wandering around Los Angeles around 4 a.m.

At one point, the “Old Town Road” rapper stripped naked and charged at responding police officers. At least three were injured, according to TMZ. Nas, 26, was briefly hospitalized for a possible overdose before he was taken to jail.

Both the LAPD and Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene.

He was charged with three counts of battery with injury on a peace officer and resisting an executive officer.

The gossip site reported that he was held without bail over the weekend and is set to be arraigned on Monday. Bail is expected to be set at that hearing.

Nas was hospitalized back in April for partial facial paralysis, revealing in a since-deleted post that he’d “lost control of the right side of [his] face” and couldn’t “even laugh right” — possibly caused by Bell’s palsy, which causes sudden weakness in the muscles in one side of the face and can make it appear to droop.

The condition, whose particular cause is not known, is usually temporary and affects an estimated 40,000 people — across age and sex brackets — in the U.S. each year.
