Lily Allen is struggling.
The British singer, 39, broke down on Thursday’s episode of her “Miss Me?” podcast and opened up to co-host Miquita Oliver about her mental health struggles — amid rumors that she split from husband David Harbour, 49.
“I’m finding it hard to be interested in anything,” Allen said when the pair started talking about the 2025 Golden Globes.
“I’m really not in a good place,” she added.
Allen married the “Stranger Things” star in 2020, but rumors emerged last month that their romance ended. Neither star has addressed the status of their relationship.
“I know I’ve been talking about it for months, but I’ve been spiraling and spiraling and spiraling and it’s got out of control,” Allen explained on the podcast.
She went on, “I tried. I mean, I came to the Christmas lunch, the ‘Miss Me?’ Christmas lunch, and I had a panic attack and had to go home. I went to see something at the theater the other night with my [friends] Carlo and Claire, and I had to leave at halftime.”
“I just can’t concentrate on anything except the pain that I’m going through,” Allen shared. “It’s really, really hard.”
The “Smile” singer revealed that she’s taking a break, including from hosting the podcast, amid her struggles.
“What I do want to reassure people because there will be speculation because of the amount of time that I’m going to be taking away that I’m going to drug rehab — I’m not,” she said. “I’ve not relapsed. I know there have been some horrible blind items on the internet about me being found by my husband in a crack den being surrounded by men. I don’t know who’s spreading these vicious rumors but that’s not true.”
Allen has been sober since 2019, having previously dealt with drug and alcohol addiction. She was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder and ADHD.
Looking on the positive side, Allen noted that her daughters Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 11, whom she shares with ex-husband Sam Cooper, have been a bright spot for her.
“I can say, it’s really tough. They are always there and you have to be present and there for them. And that’s okay,” she said, adding, “When things in life are going well and you’re coping, it’s really nice to have the kids around. They’re a joy to be around and one of the main sources of joy in one’s life.”
Allen and Harbour first sparked romance rumors in 2019, one year before they tied the knot in Las Vegas.
Their marriage made the “Black Widow” actor stepfather to Allen’s daughters.
“I’m so grateful that I’m not alone anymore, and that I have someone that I can tell everything to and who can tell me everything,” Harbour told People magazine in 2021.
“We can share this experience of walking through life together,” he continued. “I’m always so overcome with gratitude for that, because I’ve been alone for most of my life.”
