A 25-year-old Long Island was seriously injured after hitting a snow plow while allegedly driving drunk.

Suffolk County police reported that Erika Jackson drove her 2013 Chevrolet Malibu into a Department of Transportation plow around 5:20 a.m. on Sunday. The Corum woman was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment. Police said Jackson was charged with DWI and will be arraigned at a later date. Authorities said her car was impounded for a safety check.
