A 19-year-old woman was killed on Long Island and two people were left wounded in a shooting, police said Sunday.
The victims were found suffering from various gunshot wounds just before 11 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Willow Ave. and Kennedy Ave. in Hempstead, Nassau County police said in an alert.
None of the victims were publicly identified. Additionally, police did not release any information about potential suspects or people of interest.
The 19-year-old woman died at the scene. Her name was not immediately released.
Two 20-year-old men were transported to a local hospital, cops said. They were listed in stable condition on Sunday morning.
The Hempstead shooting is one of multiple deadly incidents involving teenagers in the five boroughs and on Long Island in recent weeks. In West Babylon, 15-year-old Liam Delemo was stabbed to death at a house party on Nov. 3 and a 17-year-old suspect was charged as an adult in his death.
And on Nov. 1 in Brooklyn, 16-year-old Tyson Harps Jr. was fatally shot just 90 minutes after texting his mother in the Bronx.
“I feel like my soul is gone,” Harps’ mother told the Daily News. “I’m so numb and I just keep crying and lying in his bed.”
