“Love Island USA” alum Cashel Barnett is facing more felony charges after he allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend multiple times in front of the couple’s crying toddler.
The 34-year-old reality personality was charged Tuesday with aggravated sexual assault, aggravated assault and domestic violence in the presence of a child, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
The victim, only identified as Barnett’s ex-girlfriend, claims the TV star slapped and choked her while sexually assaulting her in front of their 1-year-old daughter last November.
Barnett had already been held without bail in a Utah jail since the middle of May on charges of aggravated assault and domestic violence in the presence of a child. Those charges stemmed from attacks Barnett allegedly waged on the mother of his child between last December and April of this year, according to NBC News and Salt Lake City’s ABC4.
In those incidents, Barnett allegedly slapped the woman across the face in front of their daughter, and picked her up by the neck and choked her until she nearly passed out. Police at the time said they were investigating other accusations that could lead to additional charges.
He’s set to be arraigned on the latest charges this week.
Barnett appeared in the first season of the American adaptation of “Love Island” in 2019 and also had a stint on “The Challenge: USA” in 2022. He now models, drums for various bands and does Cameos videos.
