“Tuesday’s Gone” but Lynyrd Skynyrd isn’t going anywhere.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group just announced they’re embarking on a summer 2026 ‘Double Trouble Double Vision Tour’ with fellow Rock Hall inductees Foreigner.
While out and about, the classic rock co-headliners will hit amphitheaters, pavilions, theaters and arts centers all over North America in July and August.
That includes four New York and New Jersey shows. They’re scheduled to go down at:
PNC Bank Arts Center
Holmdel, NJ
Sunday, July 26
Freedom Mortgage Pavilion
Camden, NJ
Thursday, Aug. 20
Jones Beach Theater
Wantagh, NY
Friday, Aug. 21
Saratoga Performing Arts Center
Saratoga Springs, NY
Sunday, Aug. 23
“I’m excited to share the stage with Foreigner and hear all their amazing hits,” Lynyrd Skynyrd lead singer Johnny Van Zant said. “I’ve always been a fan, and I believe the audience will love this tour. Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner together, it doesn’t get much better than that. See y’all in 2026!”
If you can’t wait until next summer, Foreigner has a handful of solo concerts linedup in the Big Apple and Garden State this winter including a pair of gigs Port Chester’s Capitol Theater on Wednesday, Dec. 3 and Thursday, Dec. 4.
Also, it should be noted that both groups officially no longer feature any original members.
As for Skynyrd, guitarist Gary Rossington left this mortal coil in 2023 making 75-year-old Rickey Medlocke, who has been with the band since 1971, their most senior performer.
Foreigner is led by bassist Jeff Pilson; he’s rocked with the “Juke Box Hero” ensemble since 2004. Founding guitarist Mick Jones is still alive but hasn’t played with the group in two years. More notably, lead singer Luis Maldonado will take the reins from Kelly Hansen who has fronted the outfit since ’05.
