Man, 42, knifed to death in the gut on desolate Bronx street



A 42-year-old man was stabbed to death during a brazen daylight attack on a desolate Bronx street Thursday morning, police said.

The victim was outside a dialysis center on Park Ave. near E. 167th St. in Morrisania just before 8 a.m. when a man dressed in black attacked him, jamming a knife into his lower abdomen, cops said.

The small street abuts a railway line, with one side of it fenced off and overgrown with weeds and shrubs.

EMS rushed the victim to Lincoln Hospital, but he could not be saved. His name was not immediately disclosed as police first work to notify family members.

The stabber ran off and was last seen heading east on E. 167th St.

No arrests have been made. A motive for the stabbing was not immediately disclosed.

Cops were scouring the area for surveillance footage that could help them identify the stabber.
