A gunman fatally shot a 45-year-old man in the head inside a Brooklyn apartment building early Saturday, police said.
Cops responding to a report of a person shot inside the Somers St. apartment building near Fulton St. in Ocean Hill found victim Steven Battle sprawled out on the floor, bleeding from the head.
EMS rushed him to Kings County Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved.
The gunman ran off and was still being sought Saturday.
Battle lived in the Belmont section of the Bronx, more than 18 miles from where he was killed. It was not immediately disclosed why he was in Brooklyn before his death.
Police were scouring the area looking for surveillance cameras that may have recorded the gunman fleeing the scene.
