Man, 46, shot dead in the neck in South Bronx


A 46-year-old man died after being shot in the neck early Friday evening in the Bronx, police said.

Cops responding to a 911 call just before 6 p.m. found the man with a gunshot wound to his neck in front of a building on Washington Ave. near E. 164th St. in the South Bronx, according to police.

Medics rushed the victim in critical condition to Lincoln Hospital, where he died.

Police are investigating. So far there have been no arrests, police said.

The man’s identity is being withheld until his family has been notified of his death.
