A 48-year-old man was bashed to death with a metal object by an attacker inside the Bronx apartment building where both men live, cops said Sunday.
The victim was clubbed in the head and body inside the building on Phelan Place near Billingsley Terrace in Morris Heights about 10:50 p.m. Saturday, police said.
Medics rushed the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital but he could not be saved. His name was not immediately released.
His accused attacker, a 37-year-old man who lives in the same building, was also hospitalized. Charges against him are pending.
Cops say the attacker used some sort of metal object to bludgeon the victim to death.
