Police in Delaware are investigating the shooting deaths of a man and woman found in a car on the side of a road.
Delaware State Police said the bodies of the 33-year-old woman and 35-year-old man were in a vehicle sitting on the shoulder of a roadway in Dover around 7:30 a.m. Sunday. The victims, who have not been publicly identified, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit took over the investigation “due to the nature of the incident.” No suspect information or possible motive was given, but the deaths are being investigated as homicides.
“Detectives believe there is no threat to public safety at this time,” the state police said in a statement.
