Police have arrested a 22-year-old man they said attacked two teenage girls in adjoining buildings on a Brooklyn street within a six-hour spree, police said Saturday.
Justin Lee was nabbed in the same area at around 2 a.m. and is facing charges of harassment and endangering the welfare of a child for the back-to-back attacks.
The alleged spree began when Lee, wearing a “Mario Kart” T-shirt, allegedly grabbed a 13-year-old girl about to enter her building on Ocean Parkway and Ditmas Ave. in Kensington at around 1 p.m. Friday.
Lee grabbed the young girl by the neck and pushed her forward before he ran off. His victim was not seriously harmed, police said.
Lee allegedly struck again just before 7 p.m. when cops said he accosted a 16-year-old girl in another building on Ocean Parkway near Ditmas Ave.
Cops said he wrapped his arms around the struggling girl after he followed her inside the building. As the two fell to the floor, Lee climbed on top of her, but he ran off as the girl continued to struggle.
Police and EMS were called to the scene, but the 16-year-old refused medical treatment, officials said.
Cops quickly learned that the Friday evening attack took place in a building “next to” where the first attack took place.
On Friday evening, police released surveillance footage of the attacker in the hopes someone would recognize him.
Cops later located and apprehended Lee in the area. He lives on the same block where the two attacks took place, police said.
Details of his arrest were not immediately disclosed.
His arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending Saturday.
