A creep who followed and propositioned a 13-year-old girl for sex outside a Buddhist temple in Queens has been arrested, police announced Friday.
Hamed Ali, 25, allegedly followed the young teen and offered her money to perform a sex act around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday outside the New York Dhammaram Temple on 97th St. near Northern Blvd. in Jackson Heights, police said. When the girl ran away, Ali followed her before fleeing southbound on 97th St.
Security camera footage captured the suspect walking near the scene dressed in a black short-sleeve, button-down shirt, light-wash jeans and sandals. Cops released images of the suspect, who is bald and wears glasses, in the hopes that the public could help identify him.
Police arrested Ali on Friday around 2 p.m. Ali — who lives about two blocks away on the same street from where he encountered the girl outside the temple — is charged with luring a child to commit a felony, criminal solicitation and endangering the welfare of a child, according to police.
