Cops arrested a 62-year-old man caught with a machete, a spear, a mini crossbow, and a cache of bladed weapons at a Midtown train station early Tuesday, police said.
Officers stopped David Bromberg on the northbound A/C/E platform at the 42nd St. station near Eighth Ave. around 1:20 a.m. after they spotted the hilt of a machete sticking out of his waistband, officials said.
The officers took him into custody without incident and recovered the machete. They then found an assortment of other weapons, including a small spear, a mini crossbow, a pair of brass knuckles and 12 knives and daggers on his person.
It was not immediately disclosed if the weapons were found in a bag in Bromberg’s possession or if they were in his pockets or under his clothing.
No injuries were reported.
Cops hit Bromberg with 18 weapons possession counts.
His arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court was pending Tuesday.
