A man was killed in a Manhattan apartment fire Sunday morning, police said
The blaze broke out in a five-story apartment building on Third Ave. near E. 38th St. in Murray Hill just before 6:30 a.m., cops said. Firefighters brought the blaze under control about 40 minutes alter, according to FDNY officials.
Firefighters removed a man from one of the apartments in critical condition. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he died, according to police. Police have not yet released the man’s name or age.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
