Man shoved onto Manhattan subway tracks critically hurt, suspect nabbed


A man was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries after he was shoved off a Manhattan subway platform onto the tracks Tuesday, cops said.

A man in a ski mask and black bubble jacket shoved the victim onto the tracks at the 1 train subway stop at W. 18th St. in Chelsea at about 1:40 p.m., cops said.

Medics rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital, where he was in critical but stable condition. Cops did not immediately have his age and were working to identify him.

His attacker ran off but was caught by cops a short distance away, police said. No charges were immediately filed.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the victim and his attacker knew each other or if the shove was unprovoked.
