An unidentified man who tried to cross the Belt Parkway in Queens was killed early Friday after he was struck by one car and dragged by another in a grisly three-vehicle crash, police said.
The victim, who may be homeless, was crossing the highway at Lefferts Blvd. near JFK airport in South Ozone Park just before 6 a.m. when he was rammed by a grey Lincoln SUV driven by a 52-year-old man, cops said.
The man was thrown to the ground, where he was run over and dragged for several feet by a silver Toyota operated by a 45-year-old male before the truck was rear-ended by a black Hyundai driven by a 24-year-old man, according to officials.
The victim was found on the road suffering from massive injuries all over his body.
EMS rushed him to Jamaica Hospital, where he died. Cops were trying to identify the victim Friday. It was not immediately clear why he was crossing the highway when he was struck down.
The three motorists involved in the crash remained at the scene. No arrests were filed.
All westbound lanes to the Belt Parkway were shut down for several hours as police investigated the crash.
