Man who flagged down ambulance after being stabbed in Brooklyn dies in hospital



A man bleeding from stab wounds to his chest managed to flag down an ambulance in Brooklyn early Sunday, but died shortly after his arrival at the hospital, police said.

The wounded man managed to hail a passing ambulance near Stanley and Louisiana Avenues in Canarsie around 1:20 a.m., cops said. EMTs rushed him to Brookdale University Hospital in critical condition, where he died after arriving, according to a police source.

The man’s identity was not immediately released.

He was unable to tell police officers what happened before he became unconscious, the source said.

There were no immediate arrests in the case as police continued an investigation.
