Man who wore ‘ghost face’ sweatshirt in Queens rape attack arrested: cops

A young man who allegedly wore a creepy “Ghost Face” sweatshirt from the “Scream” horror movie franchise when he attacked and raped a woman on a secluded residential block in Queens has been arrested, police said Wednesday.

The stone-faced suspect, Rody Morales, 20, wearing a black “DJ Cobra” shirt, was led out of the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills, ignoring questions shouted at him.

Police charge that Morales snuck up behind a 50-year-old woman around 3 a.m. April 11 near the corner of 162nd St. and 89th Ave., near the NYCHA Shelton houses in Jamaica. He flashed a knife and then raped the woman before heading south on 89th Ave., cops say.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Surveillance images show the attacker wearing a black baseball cap with an Adidas logo, Air Jordan black-and-white sneakers and a black sweatshirt with red lettering highlighting a picture of the scary “Scream” character.

Morales faces charges of rape, assault, sexual abuse, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, and harassment. His arraignment in Queens criminal court was pending Wednesday night.
