Man wounded in shooting at Cooper Park Houses in Brooklyn


A man was shot and wounded Tuesday night in the courtyard of the Cooper Park Houses in Brooklyn, police said.

The gunfire erupted around 8 p.m. outside the NYCHA complex on Morgan Ave. in East Williamsburg, cops said, adding they found a shell casing at the scene.

“He was shot in the back and ran into the building,” an NYPD source told the Daily News. “We found him on the second floor.”

“He was conscious and alert when we put him in the ambulance,” the source added. “He was very, very uncooperative.”

One resident told The News the violence was “crazy.”

“There were three shots outside,” the neighbor recounted. “He was lying in the hallway, shot in the back.”

The victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital, where his condition was not immediately available.
