Man’s body recovered from waters off Brooklyn’s Floyd Bennett Field

A man’s body was recovered by first responders Monday afternoon from the waters off Brooklyn’s Floyd Bennett Field.

NYPD Harbor Unit cops pulled the body out of Jamaica Bay and brought it to the shoreline of Floyd Bennett Field, a decommissioned airfield that is now a park and part of the Gateway National Recreation Area, about 12:10 p.m., officials said.

Police were alerted to the body by a 911 caller.

The Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how the man died as cops work to determine his identity.
