Martha Stewart never changes her diva ways.
During a preview of her appearance on Monday’s episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the 83-year-old domestic icon revealed a shocking “secret” about her eating habits.
“I have never ordered in. Never,” Stewart said.
Her confession shocked her “Yes, Chef!” co-host, José Andrés, and Kelly Clarkson, who was telling the pair about her love for going out to dinner.
“Are you kidding me?” Clarkson, 43, asked in disbelief.
As the audience laughed, Stewart insisted that her daughter, Alexis Stewart, 59, can “vouch” for her.
But Clarkson wasn’t ready to let Stewart off the hook.
“You have never been like, ‘It’s a Taco Bell night. We’re just doing it?’” the singer asked.
“Never ordered in,” Stewart reiterated.
As Clarkson sat back in her chair in shock, Stewart told the talk show host, “I will go out or I will not eat.”
“Prove it!” Andrés, 55, demanded to Stewart. “People of America, if you have a photo of Martha Stewart ordering in, we want to see it!”
“We demand an investigation!” the celebrity chef added.
Clarkson told Stewart of never ordering food, “That’s insane! I’m so proud of you.”
“She’s so pure,” Andrés said about Stewart.
“I’m so pure,” she agreed.
Andrés then got up off the couch, sat on the ground on his knees and bowed down to Stewart, as Clarkson laughed in her seat.
“Don’t you worry — I have ordered in enough for the both of us,” Clarkson told Stewart.
Fans of the talk show were just as shocked about Stewart’s revelation.
“I’m with Kelly…takeout rules,” one person wrote in the YouTube comments of the clip.
“The woman who said ‘whaaat’ in the audience sent me,” a different fan said.
“Of course she’s never ordered in, she could create a five course meal out of a single vegetable,” someone else wrote about Stewart.
“She has her own chickens that give her eggs,” another fan pointed out.
Stewart and Andrés are the hosts of NBC’s new series “Yes, Chef!”, where they will mentor 12 contestants through a series of intense culinary challenges. The winner will take home the $250,000 grand prize.
In a recent with People, Stewart said she’s known Andrés “for many years” prior to them working together.
“I’ve eaten, I think, at most of his restaurants and been very, very impressed with his work, both in the restaurants and in his humanitarian work,” she said.
Andrés gushed about Stewart, “She can deliver anything to anybody and just use a smile. She has powers. I say the same thing and they look at me like, ‘Excuse me?’ She says the same thing and they laugh for her. Really? That’s a power!”
“Yes, Chef!” premieres April 28 on NBC.
