More than 150,000 New Yorkers cast ballots over the first two days of early voting, suggesting strong enthusiasm over the mayoral matchup between Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani, independent Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa.
Over Saturday and Sunday, 164,190 voters hit the ballot boxes. Those numbers were far more than the 66,631 who voted over the first two days of the June primary. And the 2021 general election saw just 31,176 voters over first two days, though that election was not viewed as competitive and that was the first election early voting was offered.
Early voting will continue through Nov. 2, with Election Day the following Tuesday, Nov. 4.

In Brooklyn, 49,432 cast their vote, followed by Manhattan with 49,191 voters and Queens with 38,791. In the Bronx, 14,225 checked in and 12,551 voted on Staten Island.
Mamdani is polling as the frontrunner in the race, leading Cuomo by double digits in most polls.
